My own boudoir photography journey started when I wanted some fabulous, daring shots as a birthday memento for myself and also as a surprise gift for my husband. After a long search I could not find the type of photographer I wanted and ended up spending way too much money with a studio that did not really understand boudoir photography. I still have the dodgy book to prove it – ask me to show you when we meet. Ever since that experience I’ve had the burning desire to provide women exactly the experience and images that I wanted for myself.

Then it happened….I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. I spent more than a year in treatment and recovery, but thankfully I’m now in remission. What I didn’t know then was that something so horrible would become the catalyst for me to leave the corporate world and pursue my dreams. I started with a family photography business that became successful and gave me the confidence to pursue my real passion – “The Boudoir Photographer” was born.  Read more about me and my cancer journey.
